Jesus the Healer...

I recently had an experience where I was asking someone to amend their behavior as it was disturbing to what I was working on. The person explosively retorted I have been amending my behavior to accommodate you for years and begin to list all the accommodations. I listened till the culmination of the list and responded, “I never knew that.”

After the surprise wore off, I thanked them for letting me know and said, “I do not want you to be uncomfortable either.” I thanked them for this opportunity to see how I too had not communicated my needs/thoughts but had expectation of others and was angry when they did not yield the results I desired.

The following day they apologized for the outburst. We reconciled.
